| Bradbury Memorial Center - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - With great sorrow and yet much joy for a life well-lived we announce the death of Judith Ann Metzger (Judy), age 86, who passed away on Friday April 4th 2025 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona where she had been residing for the last 20 years with her husband (my dad) Rudolph George Metzger (Rudy). Mom was born in Meriden, Connecticut on September 1st 1938 to Joseph and Josephine Garra and is predeceased by both her parents. She is survived by both her husband Rudy and me, her daughter, Cherri Metzger. Mom grew up in Meriden, Connecticut, she attended and subsequently graduated from Meriden High School in 1956, married my dad in 1957 and worked as an executive secretary on and off for years (as long as it didn’t interfere with being a mom!) She and my dad had many adventures during their 67 years together, and they made many friends wherever they travelled and lived. My mom was a kind and conscientious person who cared deeply for others. She had a remarkable talent for never forgetting your birthday and loved to buy presents for her friends and family. Mom loved children and had touched the lives of several children outside of her own family, creating life-long memories for them and their own families. She loved to read stories and do creative projects with them. Mom wrote and published two children’s books, both of which have philosophical underpinnings that speak to her own beliefs about life and relationships. They are fun and joyful stories worth reading! We are planning a memorial service; but have not yet set the date. When arrangements have been made, we will post the date on her memorial page. The memorial page is a wonderful venue for posting memories, messages, uploading photos, or just to visit and see what others are posting. The more the merrier and it is helping us to process our grief. If you would like to receive an invitation to her memorial page please email me at: cherrimetzger@gmail.com Click this link to view my mom’s memorial page: https://my.gather.app/remember/judith-metzger |
Note: These obituaries are transcribed as published and are submitted by volunteers who have no connection to the families. They do not write the obituaries and have no further information other than what is posted within the obituaries. We do not do personal research. For this you would have to find a volunteer who does this or hire a professional researcher.
