| Last Rites Held For Edward Carter Funeral services for Edward Carter, 31, who died Saturday at his home, 1218 E. Washington, following a heart attack, was held today in the Chapel in the Valley, Ragsdale Mortuary. The Rev. A. G. Kendricks officiated. Burial was in Greenwood Memorial Park. An employe of Acme Steel Co., he was born in Midlothian, Tex., and came to Arizona in 1948 following discharge from the U. S. Air Force. He lived in Safford until 1950 when he moved to Phoenix. He was a member of the Hollywood Masonic Lodge No. 10; Arizona Salt River Valley Shrine Consistory No. 1; Elks Lodge No. 477; and the International Association of Bridge and Structural Steel Workers Union No. 740. Survivors include his father, Bill Carter of Houston, Tex., two sisters, Willa May Bailey, San Diego, Elizabeth Thompson, Los Angeles; two brothers, pfc. Earnest Carter, U.S. Army, and Larry E. Allen, San Diego; aunt, Mrs. Ida Owens, Houston. Arizona Sun November 19, 1954 |
