Franklin “Frank” Jenkins Sr., 90, passed away peacefully on April 26,
2025, surrounded by his loving family. He is now reunited in Heaven with
his wife Luedith Mary Jenkins, daughter Shelia Lynn Thompson, and other
beloved family members.
Born in Tennessee, Frank married Luedith in 1954. Together, they raised
10 children while traveling the world during Frank’s 25+ years of
service in the U.S. Air Force. After retirement, he remained active by
volunteering with the Sheriff's Department, even portraying McGruff the
Crime Dog.
Frank never met a stranger. He had a gift for making friends, was always
working with his hands, tending his garden, or painting. Known for
finding the best deals, Frank’s charm and frugality were part of his
unique personality.
Though strong and commanding, Frank had a soft side. He adored spoiling
his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchild with
candy and little surprises.
Frank is survived by his nine children: Elizabeth, Lonnie, David,
Ronald, Donald, Cathy, Franklin, Rita, and John, along with 23
grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 10:40 a.m. at
1900 Veterans Memorial, Boulder City, NV 89005. A gathering will follow
from 5–7 p.m. at 3967 N Bryce Rd, Golden Valley, AZ 86413. Flowers may
be sent to the Bryce Road address.
Frank’s love, service, and legacy will be remembered always.
