Emily Faye Bonnett - lovingly known as "Nana" - passed away peacefully
on May 1, 2025. She now rests in the presence of the Lord, reunited with
her Granny and Pop, her parents, her grandson Brandon, and other beloved
family members who went before her.
Born in Century, Florida, Emily was raised with a faith in Jesus Christ,
which guided her throughout her life. No matter where she lived -
including across the U.S. and Guam as part of a military family - she
always found a Baptist church to attend. As an adult and Mother, she
made sure her daughters, Lora and Lisa, were raised in that same love of
the Lord, consistently attending church and Sunday school.
Emily was a caregiver by nature - from helping raise her younger
siblings to working as a CNA and later devoting herself to the children
of Tristate area for over 25 years in the foster care system.
She lived a life of service, compassion, and unwavering love. She taught
life lessons through action: how to cook, play cards, stay strong, and
love others deeply.
She is survived by her siblings Barbara, Greg, and Janet; her daughters
Lora and Lisa; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Emily
leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and quiet strength. Her presence
will be deeply missed but forever cherished.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, 11 a.m. -
noon at Calvary Chapel Redemption Hill, 2925 N. Kiowa Blvd, Lake Havasu
City, AZ 86404. All are welcome.
