Published by The Miner on July 16, 2025 - Kingman, Arizona - Charlie “Danial” Smith Jr., 68, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2025, at his home. Born on June 16, 1957, Dan lived a life full of strength, laughter, and devotion to those he held dear. He is preceded in death by his loving parents and his younger sister, Lisa. Dan leaves behind his beloved wife, Cathy, and his cherished daughters: Shannon, Christie, Danni, and Lisa. His brother Toby, sisters Arlene and Stacy. He is also survived by a legacy of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. Dan was a man of simple pleasures and strong values. He found his greatest joy in casting a fishing line on a quiet lake, gathering with family for meals and memories, and sharing his love for firearms and the outdoors. He was a storyteller, a protector, and the kind of man who made you feel safe just by being near. To know Dan was to know loyalty, laughter, and unconditional love. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. A celebration of life will be held to honor the man who meant so much to so many. His legacy will live on in the stories we tell, the traditions we keep, and the love he poured into his family. Date TBD.
