William "Bill" Ransier Barrington, age 71, passed away at home Friday,
July 25, 2025, from congestive heart failure and COPD.

Bill was born April 30, 1954, in Spokane, Washington, he grew up in the
Pacific Northwest and Northern California. He graduated from Paradise
High School in Paradise, California, in 1972; after which he enlisted in
the U.S. Army, serving proudly until his Honorable Discharge in 1975.

Following his military service, Bill went on to pursue a vocation as a
Journeyman Lineman, receiving multiple awards, commendations, and
advanced certifications. In 1993, he earned a Certified Public Manager
accreditation through Arizona State University, in Tempe, Arizona. He
enjoyed a long career in supervisory positions of all aspects of
construction and maintenance of both overhead and underground power
systems.

From his earliest days, Bill was a force of nature, dressed in his
signature tank tops and shorts. He could typically be found racing
across the desert on one of his many dirt bikes, ATVs, rails, or off-
road trucks. An outstanding guitarist and vocalist, Bill played and sang
in various rock bands throughout his teen years and early 20's. While
living in Sierra Vista, he discovered other life-long passions,
including deep-sea fishing and scuba diving. Vacations were often spent
at beaches on one side or the other of our Southern border.

Bill was often strong-willed and opinionated, but it was always tempered
by his enormous heart. He was full of the knowledge gained through many
life experiences and wise in a straight-forward pragmatic kind of way.
Bill touched countless lives with his profound sense of humor, outgoing
nature, sharp wit, and unique personality. He had a rare ability to
connect with almost everyone he met. If you were fortunate enough to be
someone he loved, you would never find reason to doubt it.

Bill was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Gladys Barrington, whom
he now joins on their Spiritual journeys.

Bill is survived by his long-term partner, Pamela Lee Salgado, of Perry,
Georgia; his children, Dale Vedvig of Kimberly, Idaho; Michael Ramirez
of Sierra Vista, Arizona, Tamara (Heather) Reed of Winston-Salem, North
Carolina, and Robert "Bobby" Barrington of El Dorado, Arkansas; his
sister, Roxann (David) Smith of Fort Mohave, Arizona; his uncle, Lloyd
Lund of Richland, Washington; and several grandchildren and cousins.

With the smile we will always remember, Bill said often in his final
days, "I've had a great life!" In keeping with Bill's particular style,
there will be no formal services. His ashes will be interred at Crown
Hill Cemetery in Cut Bank, Montana, beside his parents, at a later time.
You are invited to honor him with a donation to your favorite cause or
charity.
