Young Mother Dies After Long Illness
Mrs. Vera Lee Hurd, 22, of 683 So. Bth Ave., died in a local Rest Home, last Wednesday, after an
illness of a year. Mrs. Hurd, her husband and children came to Phoenix from Houston, Texas, 
about two years ago. The body will be taken back to her home in Houston for burial. She is 
survived by her husband, Jodie Hurd, two children, girl 5, and baby boy 7 months and her 
mother and father, both living in Texas.
