JONES, Rose Marie

Rose Marie Jones, 73, of San Manuel, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2002. She was born in Royal Oak, Michigan and was a resident of Arizona since 1953. She lived and worked in Phoenix for the Arizona Bank until retirement and then resumed her first love – sewing. She was an excellent seamstress and was even making evening gowns for beauty pageant contestants, weddings, etc. She fell in love with San Manuel and moved here in 1988. She adored the small town and all the friendly people and enjoyed her time working at the San Manuel Library. She wrote poetry and was an avid reader. She is survived by her daughter, Karen (John) Valentine, of San Manuel and a grandson. Services were held July 31 at Bring’s Broadway Chapel in Tucson. Interment followed in Green Acres in Scottsdale, AZ. 07/30/02 San Manuel Miner
