Weekly Journal-Miner (Prescott, Arizona) Saturday, April 10, 1869, p. 3 Resolutions of Condolence At the regular meeting of Aztlan Lodge No. 177, F. & A. M., held in Prescott, March 27th, A.D., 1869, the following resolutions were adopted: Whereas, it has pleased the Almighty Father of the Universe, to remove by the hand of death, our beloved Brother, Nicholas Thede, from our midst, who has ever been found a worthy and consistent co-operator with us; therefore, be it: Resolved. That we deeply mourn the loss we have sustained in the death of our dear brother, and tender our heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved friends in their great affliction. Resolved. That a copy of these resolutions be transmitted to the friends of our deceased brother, and that a copy be furnished the Arizona MINER for publication. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Weekly Journal-Miner (Prescott, Arizona) Saturday, April 10, 1869, p. 3 DIED In Prescott, on the night of March 28, 1869, of Apoplexy, Nicholas Thede, a native of Schleswig-Holstein, aged about 35 years. Deceased came to this part of the Territory from Colorado, at an early day. He was an honest, upright, industrious citizen, and his death is regretted by all who knew him.
