Wickenburg Sun (Wickenburg, Arizona) Wednesday, June 29, 1994, p. 1 Believed to be accidental Local resident found fatally shot southeast of town Authorities are investigating what they believe to be an accidental shooting southeast of town this past weekend that claimed the life of a 42-year-old Wickenburg man. Maricopa County Sheriff's deputies said Steven Ray Norris was found dead in a pickup truck at approximately 3 p.m. Sunday, on Highway 60 about two miles east of the Wickenburg town limits. According to Detective Ray Jones of the MCSO, authorities are waiting for an MEM (medical evaluation) of the incident before determining exactly how Norris died. "We think it's an accident, but we want the MEM before we make a determination," he said. "We should have something (definite) later on this week." Jones, who is the investigating officer in charge of the case, said Norris died of a .22 caliber gunshot wound.
