LOHE,
Gotlieb
Died at His Ranch.
Gotlieb E. Lohe died at his ranch in Spring valley, fourteen miles west of here, on Tuesday
morning, of appoplexy. He had been sick but a few days. Momlay night Chas. Veight happened
to stop at the Lohe ranch and found him near the house in an unconscious condition. He helped
him inside and Lohe told him he had fallen and hurt his head, which showed a contusion. He
became unconscious again, and remained in that condition until his death at 5 o'clock Tuesday
morning. The body was brought to his homo here and the funeral took place Wednesday
afternoon from the Presbyterian church under the auspices of the Independent Order of
Foresters and Company I, N. G. A., deceased having held the rank of sergeant in the latter
organization.
Deceased was a native of Germany and was 45 years of age. He served five years in the United
States regular army as a musician, and came to Flagstaff about twelve years ago. He was an
industrious citizen and leaves a wife and a huge circle of friends to mourn his loss.
