LOHE, Gotlieb


Died at His Ranch. Gotlieb E. Lohe died at his ranch in Spring valley, fourteen miles west of here, on Tuesday morning, of appoplexy. He had been sick but a few days. Momlay night Chas. Veight happened to stop at the Lohe ranch and found him near the house in an unconscious condition. He helped him inside and Lohe told him he had fallen and hurt his head, which showed a contusion. He became unconscious again, and remained in that condition until his death at 5 o'clock Tuesday morning. The body was brought to his homo here and the funeral took place Wednesday afternoon from the Presbyterian church under the auspices of the Independent Order of Foresters and Company I, N. G. A., deceased having held the rank of sergeant in the latter organization. Deceased was a native of Germany and was 45 years of age. He served five years in the United States regular army as a musician, and came to Flagstaff about twelve years ago. He was an industrious citizen and leaves a wife and a huge circle of friends to mourn his loss. The Coconino Sun August 18, 1900
