Youth Dies After Short Illness
Ray Mendoza, 20, a native of Arizona and a resident of the Tolleson area for seven years, died
Monday night after a short illness in his home at Tolleson. Death claimed the youth, son of Mr. 
and Mrs. Alex Mendoza, Tolleson, just one month before he would have reached his 21st 
birthday. Born on Jan. 6, 1922, in Winkelman, he came to Tolleson with his parents seven years 
ago. In addition to his parents he is survived by three brothers now serving in the armed forces.
Funeral services were held on Thursday at 10 a. m. in Tolleson. Interment was in Glendale 
cemetery.
