Published by Yuma Sun on Nov. 12, 2025 - Yuma, Arizona - Larry Gilley a longtime resident of Yuma, AZ, was born January 31, 1954 and passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. Larry was 71 years old and lived in Mesa, AZ at the time of his death. He was from Tulare, CA. Larry will be missed by many friends, family and co-workers. He was the most loving husband, dad, Papa and brother anyone could ask for. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane; daughters, Sandra Wende of AZ and Kasey Gruver of AZ. Sisters, Shari and (Randy) Franklin of NV and Jennifer and (Lyndon) Jones of OR. Grandsons, Trent, Paxton, Ashton and Brody of AZ. As well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon and mother, Mary Gilley, both from CA. Sister, Judy Curry of MO. Son, Michael Bertling of SC and grandson, Chris Pelfrey of AZ. Services will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 10:00 am. Central Church of Christ 651 W 28 th St, Yuma AZ 85364 Reed Lohrenz will officiate.
