| Published by Today's News Herald on Dec. 17, 2025 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Esther Mae Rogers and Allen Chard Rogers, beloved parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, and pillars of their family, passed away peacefully in their home on Sunday, December 7, 2025, surrounded by family and friends. Esther was 77 years old, and Allen was 78 years old, and they both fought a years-long battle with cancer. Their passing on the same day reflects their lifelong bond - one defined by devotion, resilience, and a deep love for their family. Esther and Allen spent much of their 57-year marriage in Rowland Heights, California, with their two sons, Scott and Brian Rogers. Together, they created a home filled with laughter, tradition, and unconditional support. As a family, they enjoyed drag racing, boating, and making memories that will last forever. In 2019, after they both successfully retired, they purchased their dream home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Allen spent many hours in the big garage, and Esther loved to host friends and family in her grand kitchen. To enter their home was to be welcomed with love. Esther will be remembered for her infectious laugh, generosity, and warmth, while Allen will be remembered for his steady presence, workmanship, and unwavering devotion to his family. Together, they modeled a partnership rooted in loyalty, humor, and love. They are survived by their children, Scott and Brian; grandchildren, Aaron, Genevieve, Garrett, Brooke, and Scotty; and great-grandson, Oliver, as well as many extended family members and countless friends who will carry their memory forward. Instead of flowers, the Rogers family requests that donations be made in their memory to the Heidi Edwards Cooking for Cancer Foundation. This local non-profit organization provided tremendous support to Esther and Allen over the last several years. After a lifetime spent side by side, Esther and Allen departed this world together, just as they lived—hand in hand, surrounded by the love they cultivated throughout their lives. |
