| Published by Today's News-Herald on Dec. 27, 2025 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Dale Leon Snelson 88 went to be with the Lord Dec. 8, 2025 after a long illness. Dale was born to Melvin and Mae Snelson, April 17, 1937 at Portland, Oregon. Dale loved Jesus and spoke his name to everyone he came in contact with, he always gave God the Glory. Dale was a veteran that served in the Air Force from July 1954 to Feb. 1958. He was stationed in Guam during the Korean conflict. Dale's enthusiasm for racing started in his teens where he was launched into Drag Racing in southern California. Later in life after moving to Alaska he changed to Nascar Race Trucks becoming an owner/crew chief. Moving to Lake Havasu City in 2011 his endeavors in racing were reduced to sponsoring drivers and being a spectator which he fully enjoyed. Dale was preceded in death by his father Melvin, mother Mae Dean, sons Ronnie and Randy, daughter Jana Roseberry, sister Jacqueline Tuttle. and brother Gerry Snelson. Survivors include his wife Pamela Snelson, sons Ricky and Steven Snelson, daughters Pamela Martin and Cary Grant, twin brother Darry Snelson, sister Phyllis Hearron, brother Dennis Snelson of Scotland. Many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren, all too many to list. Honorary Pallbearers; sons Ricky and Steven Snelson, nephews Robbie and Derek Snelson. Dale's final resting place is Riverside National Cemetery at Riverside, California. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory can be made to KNLB Radio Station,510 N.
