JOHN WELCH DIES, A VICTIM OF CANCER
(from Tuesday's Daily)
John Welch, aged fifty-four years and a native of Texas, died yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock
at his home in North Prescott. His death was due to cancer of the face, from which he has been
a sufferer many months. Several sons and daughters survive him. His death is deeply regretted
by a wide circle of acquaintances who held him in high respect. He was of generous and
charitable disposition. Although he realized some time ago his end was near he never
murmured, showing the greatest fortitude until the last. His remains were taken in charge by the
Ruffner undertaking establishing to be prepared for interment. Funeral announcement appears
elsewhere in this issue.
