ALLEN, H. M.

PROMINENT MINING MAN PASSES AWAY H. M. Allen Suddenly Dies On the Operating Table Deceased Was Formerly Superintendent At Richinbar (From Tuesday's Daily.) Yesterday morning, at 11 o'clock, H. M. Allen died at Mercy Hospital, while about to undergo a surgical operation for the relief of a slight injury to his neck. The deceased was about 26 years of age, and a native of Iowa. He was a mining engineer by profession and came to this section from Denver about two years ago, afterwards serving for a time as the superintendent of the Richinbar Mines company's properties in the Richinbar district, and later, at time of his death, was filling a responsible position with the Rigby Mining and Reduction company at Mayer. He came here from Mayer only a few days ago to enter the hospital for what he considered a trifling operation, and yesterday, before the anaesthetic was administered it is said, he suddenly expired, after a sever spell of coughing. Although young in years he was a man of good attainment in his profession, of the strictest integrity and commanding the respect of all who enjoyed his acquaintance. His only surviving relative in this section is an uncle, Dr. E A. Hall of Mayer. Weekly Arizona Journal Miner September 26, 1906
