Death of Miss Eugenia Lucero Miss Eugenia Lucero, aged sixteen years, died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Maria Chavez last Friday afternoon, of pneumonia. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Fr. Mele at the Chase Creek Catholic church on Saturday afternoon, and interment was in the Catholic cemetery immediately after the service. Besides her sister, Mrs. Chavez, deceased, is survived by four brothers, Louis, Rudolfo, Jose and Manuel Lucero, the latter being president of the local miners union.
