| Published by Today's News Herald from Jan. 9 to Jan. 10, 2026 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Aliene May (Brodie) McMinn was born on 5/12/1941 in Buckeye, AZ to John and Bertha (Rothpletz) Brodie. She graduated Buckeye High School and married Delwin Lee McMinn. The couple had four children in Buckeye, all girls: Laura Noel, Cathy Hahn, Cristen McMinn, and Cheryl Henry. The family moved to Glendale, then Yuma, and finally Parker, AZ, where Del and Aliene stayed until Del's death in 2020 and Aliene's move to memory care in Midland, TX in 2024. Aliene and Del were always generous with their time, taking many friends, church youth, and family for adventures on the river in their boat, in the desert with their jeep, or simply gathering in their home, where they often hosted Bible studies and church services. Aliene was a registered nurse, working in hospitals in Glendale, Yuma, and Parker. She was the La Paz Regional Nursing supervisor, the La Paz County Health nurse, and finished her career as a nurse with Hospice of Lake Havasu. Aliene passed away at 84 years old on December 17, 2025. She is survived by her sister, Jeannie Hamilton, and her brothers John Robert and Charles Brodie. She is pre-deceased by her sister, Johanna Bullock and her brothers Max Brodie and Albert and Eddie Rivers. Her four daughters, twelve grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren remember her for her love of God and family and her involvement in the Parker community, including River Church, Parker Historical Society, and the senior center. |
