| Published by Today's News-Herald on Jan. 17, 2026 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ronald Lee Bentley, a compassionate and loving man, who left us on December 31, 2025. Born on August 26, 1951, in Seattle, Washington, Ronald's spirit was as vast and captivating as the landscapes of his birthplace. He was a beacon of love and kindness, always remembering to send birthday and holiday cards to his entire family, a testament to his thoughtful nature. Ronald spent the last twelve years of his life in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, where he brought warmth and sincerity to everyone he met. Ronald was a devoted father to his son, Matthew Bentley, his daughter in law, Jen Holzhammer and a doting grandparent to Hans Young and Mina Bentley. His mother, Maurine Rivera, and siblings, Steve Bentley, Pete Bentley, and Lisa Jahn, will remember him as a source of unwavering love and compassion. Ronald's passion for life was infectious; he was an excellent cook, a fishing enthusiast who loved his time at Site 6 in Lake Havasu, and an avid fan of car races. He relished the simple pleasures of watching movies and taking trips. Ronald worked as a chef and also as a dedicated retail clerk in the grocery business before his retirement, and he brought the same dedication and love to his work as he did to his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Sr. As we say our final goodbyes, we remember Ronald not just for his accomplishments, but for the love he shared, the joy he brought, and the lives he touched. |
