| Published by The Miner on Jan. 12, 2026 - Kingman, Arizona - It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of my husband, Roger Gates, on Dec. 30, 2025, peacefully at his home of Kingman Arizona. He is now joined with both parents, Robert & Phyllis Gates, brother Allan Gates, and nephew Diego Hernandez who preceded him in death. Roger was a cherished father, son, grandfather (Grandpa Turtle), uncle, friend, and my social butterfly. Before retirement, he was a remarkable/dedicated and committed employee at Speedco (Love’s Truck Care). He was known for his worth ethics, “I work, therefore I am”, infectious laugh, kindness, and passion for trains. His departure has left our family navigating immense grief. We had some very adventurous and fantastic times over these last 25 years! Thank you all for your love and support and for being a part of the journey. He is survived by: Sisters: Nancy Reisinger, Ann Morales, & Shelli Hamilton. Children: Janey, Nick, Skylar, & stepchildren Dustin & Brandon. Grandchildren: Stone, Story, Eli, Nikky, Alyssa, Keni, Leah, Wesley, Teagan, Thacher, Flint, & Lex. Nephews: Matthew and Ryan Gates and Eric Reisinger. Nieces: Sabrina and Amanda gates, Brehana and Gabriela Hernandez and Eligia Gonzalez, and Hali Morales… Celebration of life will be held in Maricopa, Arizona on March 28, 2026. There will be a Facebook event posted shortly. |
