| Yee Tong, 99, better known as Charley Lee, proprietor of the the Star Laundry for the past fifty years, was struck and knocked down by a hit-and-run driver of a Ford sedan Wednesday night about 9 o’clock in front of The Border Vidette office in Nelson avenue, and died at 1:30 Thursday morning at St. Joseph’s hospital. “Charley" was liked by all who knew him. He will be missed. The Border Vidette June 28, 1930 AZ death certificate lists his place of birth as China. He was a widow at the time of his death. |
