| Bradbury Memorial Center - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - (Notice of Death posting in Today's News Herald on Jan. 31, 2026) Patricia Rose Bird (née Gregory) June 22, 1959 – January 24, 2026 Patricia Rose Bird, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, sister, and friend passed peacefully on January 24, 2026 in the comfort of her home. She was born in San Juan County, New Mexico, and was raised in Southern California, where she built the foundation of a life devoted to family and service to others. Patti later retired to Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Patti was known for her fierce love of family and for being the glue that held a large and loving family together. Her strength, loyalty, and unwavering presence were felt by all who knew her. She had a gift for bringing people together and making everyone feel seen, supported, and loved. Her life’s work, where she dedicated herself to helping those in crisis find hope, healing, and a path forward. Her compassion extended far beyond her profession and touched countless lives through both her work and her personal relationships. She was known for her strength and generosity and had a passion for art, often personalizing her work and gifting it to those she loved. Patti is survived by her husband and partner of 44 years, as well as her mother, Flora Gregory. She is also survived by her siblings: Evelyn Smith, David Gregory, Stacy Kramer, and Richard Gregory. She leaves behind her cherished children: daughter Jennifer Hoyle, mother to granddaughters Aspen and Violet Hoyle; son Jerry Richardson, married to Mia Alarcon, with granddaughter Miranda Torres married to Kristopher Torres and great-grandchildren Sebastian and Scarlet Torres; and daughter Sarah Shields, married to Matt Shields, with granddaughters Charlotte and Penny Shields. Patricia is also survived by countless nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends who were blessed to know her. A celebration of her life will be held in Lake Havasu City on April 18, 2026. Patti Rose will be missed beyond measure. Her family meant the world to her, and she loved them with all her heart. Her love, strength, and legacy of compassion will live on through her family and all those whose lives she touched. |
