PIONEER CITIZEN CALLED BY
Following an illness of about one year from heart trouble but which did not become serious until
noon Sunday, Henry Williams, 57 years of age, well known Nogales pioneer, died at 2 o’clock
yesterday morning at his home, 219 Sonoita street, says Tuesday’s International. Mr. Williams
was at his duties as usual Saturday as office manager of the Shelby Service Station, owned by
Secretary of State I. P. Fraizer and Charles Fraizer. At noon Sunday he took to his bed and
although it was known his condition was serious his death a few hours later came somewhat as
a surprise. The deceased was born in Kansas City and lived in Nogales about 30 years. He is
survived by his wife and three daughters, Misses Mary, Rose and Alma, one son, Paul, all
residents of this city, and a sister, Mrs. Charles Hutchinson, residing in the Philippine Islands.
Miss Mary Williams is employed at the First National Bank, Miss Rose Williams at Dr. V. A.
Smelker’s office, Miss Alma is a high school student, and Paul Williams is connected with the J.
F. Johnson Ford Agency. The deceased was a member of the Episcopal church. Funeral services
will be held at 10:30 o’clock this morning from the home on Sonoita street, interment in the
Nogales cemetery.
