| Moses Hendricks, 65, pioneer colored citizen of Nogales and owner of the Grand Avenue Barber shop, died at 7:30 o’clock Monday night at his home on Hudgin street, following a two weeks illness. Death was attributed to a complication of diseases. Hendricks came to Nogales in 1901 and had been a resident of this city since that time. Besides being a barber, Mose was interested in mining. He also was a good cook. He was well liked by all who knew him. Deceased is survived by two daughters of Dallas, Texas. While enroute here to bury their father, they were injured in an automobile accident and are in a hospital at Breckenridge, Texas. The funeral was held yesterday, interment being in the Nogales cemetery. The Border Vidette October 28, 1933 |
