| Ed. L Pearson Dead. Ed. L. Pearson, manager of the Western Union Telegraph Company at this place, is dead. He died yesterday at noon after an illness of only a few days. The cause of death was acute brights disease. Mrs. Pearson, who is visiting in the State of Washington, has been notified of her terrible loss and is expected home Wednesday. The funeral will take place Thursday. Ed. L. Pearson was born at Quincy, Illinois about 56 years ago. His only brother, Charles, train dispatcher for the Sonora railroad was with him when he died. Two sisters are also left to mourn the passing of a kind and loving brother. They are Mrs. Captain Dickens of San Francisco and Mrs. J. B. M. Smith of Marysville, California. The sympathy of the community goes out to the sorrowing widow, brother and sisters. Ed. Pearson resided in Nogales many years; was well liked and highly respected by all who knew him and his passing is deeply regretted. He will be greatly missed. The Border Vidette July 9, 1904 |
