Victor Rodriguez was born December 23, 1931, in Snyder, Colorado to
Andrew and Michaela Rodriguez. He was the oldest of 16 Children. There
were 9 girls and 7 boys. There was 30 years between the oldest and
youngest.

Victor joined the United States Air Force in 1951, served for 4 years
(including time spent in the Korean war), and was honorably discharged
in 1954.

On April the 18th 1954, Victor and his friend Buddy were baptized into
Christ while visiting the Church in Barstow. The Minister was Melvin
Weldon. From that date forward, the focus of his life was serving the
Lord, and bringing souls to Christ.

Victor and Charlotte were married in February 1964 in Abilene Texas.
While working with the church there, they welcomed their first son, baby
Victor. Baby Victor lived for 23 days before succumbing to sudden infant
death syndrome. Faith in Christ helped them to carry on. They had
decided that they wanted to be missionaries. They eventually wanted to
go to Medellin Columbia but to prepare for that they wanted to start in
one of three toughest cities: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago. So, they
prayed about it. Sometime later, they received a call from the Sichel
street Church of Christ in Los Angeles. This was a bilingual
congregation, so Victor would preach in both English and Spanish. He
continued to work with kids and direct camps while in LA. During their
time there they welcomed a little girl, as Sharon was born.

4 years after arriving in LA, they received a call from Campbell CA near
San Jose. It was also a bilingual congregation. After much prayer they
decided to make the move there. While they were there, they must have
also been praying for patience, because their son Tim was born. While in
San Jose Victor would hold a monthly youth gathering. At one of the
gatherings some of the youth stayed behind to ask very important
questions. These questions led Victor and Charlotte to decide to
dedicate their lives to reaching out to the youth of America. They never
made it to Colombia.

Victor directed camps all over the western United States-some you may
have heard of, such as Camp Blue Haven in New Mexico, Yellowstone Bible
camp in Montana, Camp Victory around Mammoth California, camp Victory in
Balch Park above Springville California, Camp Daybreak in Felton
California, Camp Shenandoah West in Somerset California, Show Low Bible
camp in Arizona, and Family Missions week at Copper Basin Bible Camp in
Prescott AZ. The family moved to Arizona in August of 1987, at which
time he became the minister of the Church of Christ on North Palo Verde
Boulevard-a position which he held for approximately 10 years. Shortly
after "retiring" from preaching he received a call about planting a
congregation in Wenden, AZ. He ministered in that area for at least 10
years.

Victor was quite the athlete. He played basketball , baseball and ran
track. He enjoyed fast pitch softball, and was found on the field well
into his 80s. In Stockton Ca, He played on a men's fastpitch team. In a
tournament he once pitched a no hitter, but still lost 1-0. One of his
proud athletic achievements was assisting Bill Mullaly with the Lake
Havasu High school Lady Knights softball team. Together, they led the
team to back to back State Championships. He loved to tell that story
and end it with " it never happened before or since."

Victor is survived by his wife Charlotte, his daughter Sharon, his son
Tim and his wife Laurie, and grandchildren Hannah and Jacob as well as
sisters Pauline, Rose, Mary, Juanita, and numerous nieces, nephews and
other family members.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday April 11, 2026 at 10 am
at the Aquatic/Community Center 100 Park Ave, Lake Havasu City, AZ
86403.

In lieu of flowers you may donate to any of the following:

What Victor would want more than anything is to see you in Heaven.
