| Oscar Larsen The News regrets to report the death of Mr. Oscar Larsen, which occurred at noon last Sunday. Mr. Larsen was very well known in Williams, where he has been employed as an electrical engineer with the Santa Fe for more than a year, and his untimely passing is cause of sincere grief to his numerous friends. Mr. Larsen had been ill for two weeks, and was among the first patients taken to the emergency hospital, but the disease had progressed too far to make treatment successful. He is survived by two sons, Charles aged ten years, and Allen aged eight years, whose mother died in Winslow two years ago. Allen is in the hospital, rapidly recovering from influenza. Mr. Larsen was a Mason and the local lodge has taken the affairs in charge. The remains were sent to Winslow for interment beside the grave of the wife. Wm. Hughes, Joe Farrel and W. D. Finney communicated with the Royal Masonic Lodge, Lake Forest, Illinois, where Mr. Larsen was a member of the Blue Lodge and Knight Templar, in good standing. Instructions were received that arrangements were being made to place the boys in the Lake Forest Knight Templar home. W.D. Finney has been appointed temporary administrator of the estate and guardian of the children. The Williams News October 25, 1918 AZ death certificate shows his place of birth as Sweden. |
