STONE,
Francis
Little Francis, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Stone, aged 2 years and 4 months, died here
Sunday morning of diphtheria. The friends and neighbors of the bereaved parent extend to them
their heartfelt sympathy in their grief; and because we may not be with them personally on
account of the nature of the disease, we have them almost constantly in our thoughts.
"Still beautiful E'en in DEATH!"
Born, Sunday, Nov. 26th, 1899. Died, at Ash Fork, Sunday, March 9th, 1902, Francis, daughter
of J. W. and Laura S. Stone. She contracted diphtheria as the family were leaving Phoenix for
Ash Fork, their old home, and survived but a few days after reaching home. She was a beautiful
child, and will be remembered in Phoenix by her many admiring friends as the pretty little
blonde. She has left friends, sorrowing; father and mother broken hearted, but she has joined
the Angel Band, and her voice will rise in glad acclaim, "Glory to God in the Highest." All of our
people deeply sympathize with the sorrowing parents in the loss of their darling child. Goodbye,
little Francis; it will not be for long.
