Walter Gillett Doggett

Walter Gillett Doggett, aged 92, passed away on February 28, 2026, in
Lake Havasu City, AZ. Born on August 30, 1933, Gillett led a life marked
by deep faith, devotion to education, and service to his country and
God.

Gillett served honorably in the Army from 1953 to 1955, a period that
helped shape his early adult years. After his military service, he
pursued further education, attending San Bernardino Valley College,
California State San Bernardino, and California Baptist College.
Professionally, Gillett dedicated himself to various roles that
reflected his commitment to helping others. He worked at Santa Fe Rail
Road before embarking on a significant career in education, teaching at
Redwood Elementary and a continuation high school in Fontana, CA. Later
in life, he followed his calling into ministry, serving as Pastor of
Calvary Chapel Rialto and Calvary Chapel of the Sierras in North Fork,
CA.

A devout Christian, Gillett was actively involved in Calvary Chapel
Redemption Hill in Lake Havasu City, AZ, where he continued to guide and
inspire others with his gentle and humble spirit. His life was a
testament to his faith, as he was always directing others towards
Christ, both through his words and his actions.

Gillett's hobbies included hiking, camping, and swimming. He was an avid
swimmer and continued to swim laps at the local aquatic center until he
was 90 years old, demonstrating his commitment to a healthy, active
lifestyle.

He is survived by his wife, Victoria Doggett; daughters, Kimra Stone
(husband, Alexander Stone) and Kristy Rebel-Tieman (husband, Russell
Tieman); sister, Phyllis Mortimore; and four grandchildren. Gillett was
preceded in death by his parents, JT and Elsie Doggett and grandson,
Benjamin Gilbert.

A service to celebrate Gillett's life will be held on Friday, March 27,
2026, at 11 am at Calvary Chapel Redemption Hill, followed by a
reception luncheon at Elks Lodge Lake Havasu City, AZ. Those who knew
Gillett are invited to attend and honor a life well-lived, a life that
profoundly touched and enriched the lives of many.
