Marcus Austin Kelley, 54, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at 
home surrounded by his wife and children. He was married to Nickie 
Kelley. They shared 22 years of marriage.

Born in Memphis, Tennessee, he is the son of Michael Kelley and Martha 
Hart. He graduated from University of Arizona and Benjamin N Cardozo 
School of Law in New York. He was sworn in as the Presiding Judge of 
LaPaz County Superior Court on January 4, 2023.

Judge Kelley loved history, loved reading and loved his family.

He is survived by his wife, Nickie, son William, daughter Sarah, mother 
Martha Hart and stepfather Kenneth Hart as well as an uncle, aunts, 
nieces, nephews, cousins, stepbrother, stepsister, in-laws and a circle 
of friends that stretch across decades and state lines. He was 
predeceased by his father, Mike Kelley.

The memorial service was held on Sunday, March 8, 2026 at 3:30 p.m. at 
Scottsdale Bible Church, 7601 E Shea Blvd, Scottsdale, AZ.
