| Published by Yuma Sun on Mar. 17, 2026 - Yuma, Arizona - Cecilia Ann Young, 74, passed on March 14, 2026, in Dyer, Indiana. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in November 1951. She moved to Yuma, Arizona in 1984 and served the Yuma County Library District for more than thirty years in various roles beginning in Circulation and eventually retiring as the Grants Funding Administrator. During that time, she was known for her dedication to community service, supporting the literary arts for youth and adults alike, and being an avid lover of learning, literature, and music. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dwight Wayne and Barbara Louise Young, as well as her brother, Terry Wayne Young. Survivors include her two sons, Charles (Kaitlyn) Parsels of Bloomington, Illinois, and Cedric (Bryna) Parsels of Highland, Indiana. Additional survivors include five grandchildren: Aurelia, Avery, Daphne, Elena, and Bennett. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Friends of the Library located at the Main Library Branch of the Yuma County Library District.
