Don was born in Los Angeles on July 15, 1932, to John and Marion
Schwartzlose. Adventurous and intelligent, Don made many friends who
would remain close their whole lives. After graduating from Eagle Rock
HS, he joined the US Navy Seabees, traveling to exciting locations
around the globe to construct buildings ahead of arriving Naval fleets.
While enlisted, Don married his sweetheart Sharon and became a proud and
loving father of three children.

Don and Sharon moved to Mohave County in the early 80s, together
becoming active in the community as Scout leaders and members of the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Don was kind and without
judgment, with love for his family and his fellow man. He had many
hobbies and skills, spending his time working on marine and car
upholstery. He loved to fish and could often be found hiking and
exploring the back roads with his dogs Sam and Abi.

After a life lived well and fully, Don passed away at home on Jan 18,
2026. He is survived by Sharon, his beloved wife of 72 years, children
Martin, Julie and Richard, five grandchildren and five great-
grandchildren. His family will celebrate his life at a future time.
