Stephen Lee Peers was born Feb. 1, 1968, in Orange, Calif., and died
Jan. 11, 2026, in Wickenburg. He was 57.

Stephen grew up in south Phoenix and attended St. Catherine's Catholic
School and Church, where he was a dedicated and respected altar server
for many years. He graduated from Brophy College Preparatory in 1986 and
later attended Maricopa County Skills Center and Glendale Community
College. He joined the Arizona Army National Guard, where he served for
four years and received an honorable discharge, of which he was very
proud.

Stephen worked in various machine shops. He was a metrologist, also
known as a calibration technician, and was respected in his field. He
later left metrology for a quieter life in Wickenburg, where he worked
at AllThrive 365, a social service organization serving communities in
need that was founded by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Phoenix. He also
enjoyed his time working as a security guard, where he met various
celebrities and political figures. He loved being of service to others
and helping his community.

After 10 years of dating, Stephen married Kymy (Stover) Villalobos in
March 2010 in Las Vegas. After returning to their Catholic faith, they
had their marriage convalidated in the Roman Catholic Church in January
2016. Although they had a blended family, they condidered all their
children as their own.

Stephen is survived by his wife, Kymy; his sons, Chad E. Villalobos,
Stephen J. Peers II, Nathan A. Villalobos, Jaydon L. Peers, and Logan E.
Peers; and his daughter, Samantha R. Villalobos. He is also survived by
his mother, Aurelia M. (Garcia) Peers; his grandson, Stephen Aydn Peers
III; his stepmother, Judith Peers; and his stepsister, Adrianna
Guillory. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Peers; his
brother, Robert Aguilar; and his in-laws, Donnie E. Stover and Lana E.
(Manley) Stover.

Stephen enjoyed trips on his fishing boat, the Swamp Rabbit and other
outdoor activities. His interests included participating in local
events, playing his tin whistle, listening to ham radios, grilling
almost every day, shooting, visiting museums, taking day trips
throughout Arizona, and vacationing with Kymy and his family. He proudly
served as an Arizona Minuteman on Arizona's southern border and was
proud to have been interviewed by Kari Lake when she worked for Fox 10.

He liked to joke that his claim to fame was meeting stars such as
William Shatner, Mario Lopez, Vivica A. Fox and Donald J. Trump.

Stephen was a self-described "old goat"and a self-proclaimed "lowland,
desert-dwelling rat." He jokingly boasted of his ability to keep a car
or a computer running forever. All who knew him will miss his quick wit.

He loved his family and his faith and will be missed by all who knew
him. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St.
Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Children's.
