MESA - Emil M. Latva, 79, a retired grocer, died March 25, 1986, at Valley 
Lutheran Hospital.  Mr. Latva, of Mesa, was born in Michigan and moved to 
Arizona 14 years ago.  Survivors include his wife, Evelyn P.; son, Paul; 
stepsons, Michael DeVar, Harry DeVar and Gary DeVar; 12 grandchildren and 
8 great-grandchildren.  Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Melcher's 
Mission Chapel, 6625 E.  Apache Trail. Memorial contributions may be made 
to the American Heart Association, 1445 E. Thomas, Phoenix 85014.
