Harry Koch

Koch, Harry A., 68, died July 15, 1996. Born in Sharpsburg, PA. Harry
worked as a Deputy Sheriff-Detective for the Maricopa County Sheriff's
Office. Harry worked Juvenile Homicide and Auto Theft details for 21
years. Harry was also an ex-Marine, ex-Merchant Marine and an
accomplished writer, songwriter, and poet. He was a recipient of the
Freedom Foundation Award for Poetry and had two gold records on display
at the Phoenix Police Dept., dedicated to fallen comrades. Harry was a
member of the F.O.P. Lodge #5. Harry also enjoyed being a freelance
photographer. Survivors are wife June, a daughter, Michelle, sons Eric,
Mark, and Dan. Harry also had eight grandchildren. Per Harry's wish a
family only service was held. Harry and June were married 46 years.
Harry rests in peace the National Military Cemetery (Cave Creek,
Phoenix) where his son, Paul, also a Marine, rests in Peace. Harry will
be missed by all. (Semper Fi Marine) God Bless.
