JOY, Nellie

The Arizona Record 15 April 1959 Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Walker's Globe Memorial Chapel for Mrs. Nellie Joy, 85, who died April 7 at Gila General Hospital. Rev. William Daniels officiated and burial was in Pinal Cemetery. Mrs. Harlene Walker was the organist and Mrs. Esther Preston soloist. Mrs. Joy's grandsons were pallbearers. Mrs. Joy was born Jan. 11, 1874 in Kimbel County, Texas, she lived in the district for 41 years. Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Emma Allen, Young, Mrs. Winnie Jones, Mrs. Ruby Hui, Globe; two sons, Floyd, Globe; Homer, Young; sister, Mrs. Minnie McClain, Casa Grande, 16 grandchildren, 19 great- grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
