| Published by Today's News-Herald on Apr. 8, 2026 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Erik Robert Rasmussen, lovingly known as "E," passed away in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, at the age of 51. Born and raised in Lake Havasu City, Erik spent his entire life in Lake Havasu City. Erik attended Lake Havasu High School and later participated in the New Horizons program. He was quiet and observant when meeting new people, but with those who knew him well, he was talkative and full of personality. On his best days, he could talk your ear off. Erik loved his family deeply and found joy in life's simple routines. He was especially food-driven, with mealtime being his favorite part of the day. He also loved music and dancing, and those closest to him will always remember dancing with Erik. Erik is survived by his mother, Geri Rasmussen; his sister, Lyn (Shawn) Demaret; nephews Jake and Justin; nieces Sadie and Brianna; and second cousin Hope. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Rasmussen, and his grandparents. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Horizons, a place Erik proudly called his second home and where he was supported in living an independent and connected life. A celebration of life will be hosted by the family and New Horizons on Wednesday, April 15, 10am at Havasu Riviera Marina. |
