Lake Havasu City, Arizona -

Thomas "Tom" Pedersen, age 78, passed away unexpectedly on March
22,2026. He was born in Marshall, Minnesota to Harold and Mary Pedersen.

After graduating from high school, Tom enlisted in the Air Force where
among other assignments, was involved in helicopter rescues in Vietnam.

He then joined his Dad in the harness horse racing business. Tom was an
excellent driver and won enough races to be ranked #2 in North America.

He earned a degree in Mathematics from the University of South Florida
and went to work for Boeing in Seattle, Washington.

Tom moved to Lake Havasu in 1998. He worked as a bartender at the Elks
Lodge for many years and then at the American Legion. He was a member of
the Elks lodge, American Legion, VFW and Moose and Eagles.

Tom and Kathy loved cruising to Mexico, Hawaii, Alaska, and the
Caribbean. But after a full and active life, simple things brought
enjoyment… like sitting on the swing, poppin' a beer and watching a
beautiful Havasu sunset. Rest in peace, my love. I will miss you and I
will cheer on your beloved Vikings and try to be as loud and obnoxious
as you could be when watching the game.

Tom is survived by Kathy Wright, his significant other for 26 years,
sisters Laura (Bob) Geyer, Jo (Mark)Boerboom, Helen (Doug) Devereaux,
Pat (John) Speck, brother Denny Spielmann and many nieces and nephews,
all of Minnesota. He also leaves behind his half-brothers Jerry (Andrea)
Pedersen and Jimmy Pedersen.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, sister Barbara Oaks and half-
sister Sharon Pedersen.

You are invited to join us at the Elks Lodge on Sunday, April 19, at
11:00 AM to Celebrate Tom's life.

Services were entrusted by Lietz- Fraze Funeral Home
