Lake Havasu City, Arizona -

Vickie Dawson, 78, of Payson, Arizona, passed away peacefully on April
10, 2026. She was born on November 25, 1947, and was known for her
vibrant, loving spirit and unmistakable sense of style-often seen in her
signature short shorts and Converse hi-tops, reflecting her youthful
energy and strong personality.

Vickie graduated from Bellflower High School in 1965 and went on to
build a meaningful life centered around family, hard work, and joy.
Alongside her devoted husband, Michael Dawson, she co-owned and operated
JD Machine in Lake Havasu. Together, they built not only a successful
business but a legacy of dedication and partnership, working side by
side until their retirement in 2018.

Family was the heart of Vickie's world. She shared 45 wonderful years of
marriage with Michael, creating a life filled with love, laughter, and
unforgettable memories. She is survived by her children: Jackie and
Jerry Lessing, Michelle and Chris Lamb, and Tony and Jerri Sue Dawson.
She was a proud and loving grandmother to Nicholas Smearman (and his
wife Britt), Cameron Dawson, Makayla Dawson, and Micah Lamb, and a
cherished great-grandmother to Amelia Smearman.

Vickie found immense joy in life's simple pleasures-spending time with
family, attending auto races and concerts, and cooking meals that
brought everyone together. She was the heart and soul of countless
family camping trips, always the one bringing laughter, warmth, and
unforgettable fun.

A celebration of Vickie's life will be held at a later date, where
family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the lasting
impact she made on all who knew and loved her.
