He was born in Allegheny, Pennsylvania. 

Survivors include his wife, Bernice; daughter, Bonnie Shetley; sons, Gregory A. Beardshaw; sisters, Ruth Petrey, Grace Mueller and Dorothy Shumway; brother, Sidney; three grandchildren and two grandchildren. 

Services: 2 p.m. Saturday, Willowbrook United Methodist Church, 19390 N. 99th Ave., Sun City.
