Lake Havasu City, Arizona -

Jim Seims, "Jimmy" to those who knew him, loved the way he lived:
quietly, completely, and with his hands always making something.

Jimmy passed away peacefully on April 12, 2026, Betty Lou's hand in his,
after years of illness he bore without complaint. He married Betty Lou
on October 11, 1969 and loved her constantly and unabashedly for 56
years. Born November 15, 1945 to Sid and June Seims, Jimmy grew up
alongside brothers Jerry and Jack and sister Sharon in Woodinville,
Washington. He is preceded in death by Jerry, Sharon, and his son Eric.

Baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1974, Jimmy served Jehovah
faithfully and held the hope of the resurrection as something he
genuinely looked forward to. He has people to see and a boat to build
with Betty Lou.

His workroom was a makerspace before makerspaces were a thing -
wonderfully inspiring chaos, mostly in service of making Betty Lou
smile. Their home tells the story: a lifetime of photographs, keepsakes,
love notes, and things Jimmy made on every wall and shelf.

Always feeding curiosity, fostering kindness, and incapable of speaking
poorly of anyone, he made room at the table for single moms and
fatherless boys without announcement. You'd be hard-pressed to find a
single person who didn't have only good things to say about Jimmy. That
kind of life is rare. He lived it without trying.

He is survived by Betty Lou, their five children Aerle, Tim, Nathan,
Leah Nicole, and Benjamin, son-in-law Chris, daughter-in-law Leah Marie,
10 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, his brother Jack Seims, and
numerous nieces and nephews.

The family thanks his doctors, nurses, the VA Clinic, and Hospice of
Havasu for their care, empathy, and kindness. He loved them all.
