Published by The Miner on May 5, 2026 - Kingman, Arizona - Marie Beth Lewis Alleman, age 73, of Kingman, Arizona, passed away on April 28, 2026. Born in Idaho Falls, Idaho on Feb. 4, 1953, Marie was the sixth of seven children of Claude Lewis (1909-1998) and Luella Cook Lewis (1910-1992). She was raised in Ririe and Shelley Idaho with loving parents and siblings. At age 10, Marie moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where she eventually met the love of her life and future husband, Kurt Alleman. Kurt and Marie were married for time and all eternity in the St. George Temple on June 21, 1973. Together, Marie and Kurt welcomed four children into their family and built their life in Elko, Nevada, where they resided for 40 years. Marie spent her life devoted to her faith, her family, and service to others. She cherished her time serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Kurt in St. Louis, Missouri. They spent countless hours serving in Latter-day Saint temples in Salt Lake City, St. Louis, and Las Vegas. Marie loved spending time with her family and young people, who were blessed by her sincere attention, infectious enthusiasm, and plentiful baked goods. Her other beloved pastimes were reading and traveling the world. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and a sister. She is survived by her husband, Kurt Alleman of Kingman, Arizona; her children, Kori Bird (Stephen) of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Wade Alleman (Stephanie) of Kingman, Arizona; Amanda Cooper (Ryan) of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Matthew Alleman (Rebecca) of Denver, Colorado; three sisters, Wynette Searle, Ranae Lewis, and Debbie Smart; and 20 grandchildren who were her pride and joy. A funeral will be held in Marie’s honor at 12 p.m. (noon) on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 610 Eastern Street Kingman, AZ 86401. A viewing will be held prior to the service at 11 a.m. at the LDS chapel as well as on Friday, May 15 from 5-7 p.m. at Sutton Funeral Home, 1701 Sycamore Avenue Kingman, AZ 86409.
