CASTRO, Maria Jesus

Maria Jesus Castro, 84, of Tucson, passed away August 31, 2002, at the Park Villa Nursing Home where she resided for the past four years. Mrs. Castro was born June 4, 1918, in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico. She was a longtime resident of Superior. 

She is survived by her daughters, Mary Helen Mendoza of Tucson, Lupe Castro of Mesa and Norma (Michael) Guzman of Superior and Alma (Rick) Weeks of Wyoming; sisters, Mercedes Quijada of Mammoth and Bertha Granillo of Tucson; brothers, Ralph (Rebecca) Salgado, Robert (Virginia) Salgado and William Salgado, all of Tucson; 10 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. 

Visitation was held September 6, 2002, at Sacred Heart Church. Funeral Mass followed. 

Interment was at Holy Hope Cemetery.
