CLAUSER, Clifford Byron

Published by Today's News-Herald on May 9, 2026 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Clifford Byron Clauser peacefully passed away on April 9, 2026 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Born on March 16, 1940, in San Diego CA, Cliff was a "Navy brat" who grew up on Navy bases around the world. Cliff attended Garden Grove High School where he met his wife Kathleen (Kathy) in English class. Kathy was his high school sweetheart and wife of sixty-two years. Professionally, Cliff spent his career working in auto salvage as the owner of Manchester Auto Salvage in Anaheim, CA. Cliff raised his family in Southern California. They spent weekends riding motorcycles in the desert or carving through the wake of the Colorado River in his blown flat-bottom boat. To Cliff, a day spent in the desert or on the water with his children and friends was a day well-lived. In retirement, he enjoyed traveling the United States and going on cruises around the world with Kathy. In 2004, Cliff and Kathy began a new chapter in Lake Havasu. Cliff continued to enjoy the outdoors by off-roading and boating. He also pursued his passions for gunsmithing, hunting, and fishing. In Havasu, Cliff got to spend more time with family and built a large community of friends. His garage, the legendary "Kiowa Bar," was a place where the beer was always cold and the door was always open. Cliff is preceded in death by his wife Kathleen, and their son, Curtis Clauser. He is survived by his brother, Joseph Clauser; his sister, Robyn Clauser, who was his caregiver the last 2 years of his life; his son, Ken Clauser (Kelly Clauser), his granddaughters, Katelyn Rose (Ed Rose) and Kara Clauser, his great-granddaughter, Charlotte Rose; and his faithful chihuahua Rosie. Cliff will be profoundly missed by a vast circle of friends and a family who loved him dearly. His spirit will remain whenever a cold Miller Lite is shared and a story is told. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Lietz Fraze Funeral Home, 21 Riviera Boulevard, Lake Havasu City, Arizona with lunch to follow at Cliff’s Kiowa Bar.
