DWYER, Margaret June

Published by Yuma Sun on May 10, 2026 - Yuma, Arizona - Margaret June Dwyer, 93, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026, at her home in Yuma, Arizona, surrounded by family. Born June 6, 1932, in Ocean City, New Jersey, she was the daughter of Margaret and Thomas Harkins and sister to Helen and Phil. June graduated from high school in 1948 and devoted her early years to raising six children: Cindy, Debbie, Pam, Phil, Rick, and Harriet; while supporting her husband's military service during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. She was active in her community, enjoyed hosting gatherings, and participated in bowling leagues. In the mid-1980s, she married David Dwyer. They lived in Hagerstown, Maryland, and later Fayetteville, North Carolina, where they made their home until his passing in 2017. In 2019, June moved to Yuma to be near her daughter, Harriet, and remained active in her Catholic faith, enjoying time with family and her beloved dog, Mya. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Helen; her daughter, Cindy, and her husband, David Dwyer. She is survived by her children; Debbie, Pam, Phil, Rick, and Harriet; her brother, Phil, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services will be announced at a later date.
