JACOBS, Jeffrey Bruce


Published by Today's News-Herald on May 13, 2026 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Jeff was born on February 25, 1952 in Hawthorne, California, to Bob and Peggy Jacobs. Jeff grew up in the Southern California area, primarily Manhattan Beach. In 1968, the Jacobs Family moved to Lake Havasu City. In 1971, Jeff graduated from Lake Havasu High School. Jeff then went to work at the Nautical Inn helping with Landscaping Duties. Upon leaving the Nautical Inn, Jeff took a position in the Service Industry (formally The Roadway Inn). He worked there approximately 15 years. During this period in 1985, Jeff became an active member of Lakeview Community Church. Jeff was a very kind person and the people of the church loved him. He really loved reading the Bible. He also participated in greeting people and eventually became an usher. Jeff enjoyed the various special events of the church including the men's retreats. Jeff's fathers death in 2003 brought a great change in his life and he moved into a group home. He was no longer able to attend church. Jeff holds a special place in the hearts and minds of the people of Lakeview Community Church. After several years at the New Horizons Group Home, his physical decline required he move to Phoenix where he could receive extra care. A few years later, Jeff was able to be moved to the Flagstaff/Prescott area, where he could be closer to his brother. Jeff was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching all sports on TV, especially the Diamond Backs and Cardinals. Jeff passed away peacefully at his group home in Prescott Valley on February 21. 2026. He is survived by his older Brother Jack (Terri), Nephew Brad (great nephews Hunter & great niece Paisley), Nephew Brian (Melissa) and (great nephew Easton). A private service was held at Havasu Memorial Gardens on 5/11/26, with Pastor Dale Ray presiding.
