Pensioner Burned To Death In Blaze
Dock Russell, about 80 years old, was burned to death yesterday when his one-room shack at 11th Ave. and Hadley was completely destroyed by fire. It is assumed that the fire started from a tin bucket on which he cooked his food. According to neighbors, Mr. Russell was a native of Ft. Smith. Ark., came to Arizona about 1938 from Oklahoma. He had lived in Phoenix about 10 years alone. He is survived by one daughter and two sons living in Tulsa. Okla. Funeral arrangements are pending at Ragsdale Mortuary.
