WILSON, Morgan Rose


Published by The Miner on May 22, 2026 - Kingman, Arizona - Morgan Rose Wilson, 43, of Kingman, passed away suddenly at home on Jan. 11, 2026. She was born Aug. 27, 1982, in Ottumwa, Iowa, to John and Joanne (Comstock) Wilson. Morgan moved to Kingman with her family in 1987, and she attended KUSD schools through eighth grade. She graduated from the Mohave Community College (now Mohave College) GED Class of 1999 at the age of 16. She graduated with honors from Mohave College in 2004 with Associate of Arts degrees in Liberal Arts and Psychology. She was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, and recognized as an All-Arizona Academic Team member, receiving a full academic scholarship to continue her Bachelor of Arts degree at Arizona State University. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Political Science from ASU in 2011. Morgan was employed at Mohave College from 2006 until her passing. Her current position was Credentials Evaluator in the Registrar’s Office. Civic activities were Morgan’s passion. She was a member of the Kingman Economic Development Advisory Commission, President of the Kingman Mohave Lion’s Club, and Recording Secretary of the Lewis Kingman Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She also held membership in Soroptimist International of Kingman, Friends of the Mohave County Library, the Kingman Oddfellows/Rebekah Lodge, and the Kingman Cancer Care Unit. She was also a member of AWHE Arizona Women in Higher Education. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harold and Helen Wilson of Ottumwa, Iowa; Concetta Comstock of Staten Island, New York; and Robert Comstock of Dalton City, Illinois. She was also preceded by her uncles and aunts, Frank and Bette Wilson and Robert and Judy Wilson, all of Ottumwa, Iowa. Morgan is survived by her parents: her sister and brother-in-law, Meg Wilson and Dave Sharrow of Las Vegas; her cousin, Mike Wilson of Ottumwa, Iowa; and her Godmother, Pam Deeds of Des Moines, Iowa. Survivors also include her “sisters-by-choice”: Kathy (Chris) Beard, Krista King, and Sara (Tom) Walters; and her nieces and nephews Thomas (Leona) Beard, Aidan Green, Tara Green, and Briar Walters, all of Kingman. She also leaves behind many friends and colleagues in the area and across the country. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Thursday, June 4, at 3 p.m. at Mohave College, Room 240.
