Jackie was called upon to go home to be with the lord on May 18, 2026. She passed peacefully in her home. She blessed everyone she came in contact with and we were all blessed to have her as family! So many memories to look upon now. She is gone but not forgotten!
Jackie was born in San Diego, California, into a large and loving family with six brothers and one sister. From an early age, she showed many talents and interests. She played the piano, wrote poetry, and brought creativity and joy into the lives of those around her.
In her younger years, Jackie was active in Job’s Daughters through the San Diego chapter associated with the Shriners. She was also a proud member of the Dawn Hailey Twirlers and drill team. Jackie had an infectious smile that could light up any room, and a sense of humor that made people laugh effortlessly. And when needed, she could deliver a scowl like nobody’s business.
Jackie loved flowers and had a special gift for arranging them beautifully. She spent many years working at Ellis Farms Nursery in Borrego Springs, where her love for nature and beauty flourished. She later attended nursing school before eventually making her home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
She loved fishing, boating, and especially watching sunsets over the lake. Above all, Jackie devoted her life to God and to sharing her love of the Bible with others. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she touched many people through her kindness, wisdom, and devotion.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Laina Rubin, and by two of her brothers, John and Perry.
She will be missed beyond words and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
